ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR...
Valerie Cooksley has been a Registered Nurse since 1981 and active in
the holistic and integrative health movement for the last fifteen years.
She has studied Botanical Medicine at Bastyr University, Seattle, WA and
Advanced Studies in Essential Oils at Purdue University, IN. She holds
an International Certification in Aromatherapy and has graduated from
both the Atlantic and Pacific Institutes of Aromatherapy in the U.S.,
The Institute of Ramashanti, India as well as The Spiritual Phyto-Essencing
Diploma Program and is presently enrolled in the Masters program with
Dr. Bruce Berkowsky.

several books on aromatherapy and natural health.

Her nursing experience includes Lecturer for the American Red Cross
and American Cancer Society, Oncology Certified Nurse and Infectious
Disease Nurse. Valerie is an experienced and dynamic public speaker

Valerie is co-founder and a faculty member of the Institute of Integrative
Aromatherapy, which is certified through the National Association
for Holistic Aromatherapy's Council of Aromatherapy Schools and Educators
Standards for Professional Aromatherapy Education Level One and Two
Core Curriculum.
225 Educational
contact hours are provided through the Colorado Center for Healing
Touch. CE activity is approved through the Colorado Nursing Association,
which is an approver of continuing education in Nursing, by the American
Nurses' Credentialing Center on Accreditation. Massage Therapy educational
contact hours approved through Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
