to The Institute of Integrative Aromatherapys Certificate
Program in Integrative Aromatherapy, founded in 1997.
The Institute of Integrative
Aromatherapy was founded by aromatherapist, holistic nurse and
best selling author Valerie Cooksley, RN, OCN, FAAIM,
who has more than thirty years of Nursing experience
with proficient backgrounds in complimentary therapies, and public
and professional education.
Valerie has contributed to the development of standards for aromatherapy
education for many years and actively participated as Board members
of Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC), which offers a national
exam in Aromatherapy.

ENDORSEMENTS
& CONTINUING EDUCATION
The IIA Certificate Program is approved for 325 continuing education
contact hours for Nurses and Massage Therapists through the American
Holistic Nurses Association, an Accredited Approver by the American
Nurses' Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation, and the
National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA),
the accrediting body of the National Organization for Competency
Assurance (NOCA).
The IIA Certificate Program is endorsed by the National Association
for Holistic Aromatherapy for Levels I and II educational curriculum
as established by NAHA, as well as the NAHA TAP Approval (True Aromatherapy
Product).
The Institute is recognized
by the Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals (ABMP) for
the practitioner level of membership that provides liability insurance
for office-based use of essential oils.
This program
prepares graduates to take the voluntary national exam provided
by the Aromatherapy Registry Council (ARC). The IIA Certificate
Program reviews various complimentary and alternative (CAM) healing
approaches that can be used with essential oil therapy such as Herbal
and Ayurvedic medicine, Flower Essence therapy, Homeopathy, Kinesiology,
Touch therapies, Energetic Healing, Sacred blending and Family health.
